Peter is one of Australia’s most prominent class action lawyers. He has an unrivalled record of fighting for justice for working people, and has conducted many history-making class action cases, as well as a large number of individual actions. He established Gordon Legal to provide an unprecedented legal service to those who need it most.

Jenny is an accredited specialist in personal injury law. She is dedicated to representing injured people in their fight to access compensation. Jenny is committed to upholding the values of the union movement and applies her legal skills to the wider community through her role as a volunteer lawyer at West Justice. In December 2018, Jenny was appointed to the Western Health Foundation Board. She is a passionate supporter of the mighty Western Bulldogs.

Andrew is a respected senior lawyer with over 30 years of experience in law and law firm leadership and management. His work in complex litigation spans commercial, environmental, personal injury and financial loss group and class action cases. A litigation lawyer since 1989, and later an accredited specialist, it was Andrew’s formative work as a young partner in the 1990s that saw him work on some of the most important class and group action settlements in Australian history. Becoming CEO and managing director of Slater & Gordon in 2001, he continued his role as a litigation lawyer for some years. He left the firm in 2017 after its decades-long growth and change under his leadership. He joined Gordon Legal as partner in September 2019, where he continues to work on a complex and diverse range of class actions such as the Robodebt class action, Junior Doctors Class Action and the BHI Student Pilot Class Action. Andrew also provides business consulting and advisory services to small to medium size professional service firms on strategic development, organisational change, leadership development and innovation.

Anastasia is an accredited specialist in personal injury law. She has had over 15 years’ experience in Workers’ Compensation fighting for the rights of injured workers against large companies and insurance agents. She also acts on behalf for many seriously injured people involved in motor vehicle accidents in Victoria. One of the most rewarding aspects of her job is acting for people who need help during one of the most difficult periods in their life. She is committed to fighting for people’s rights whether it’s for a lump sum compensation or fighting for the right of their medical expenses to be paid for. Anastasia currently sits on the Law Institute of Victoria, Transport Accident Committee and Workers Compensation Committee.

James is a highly regarded commercial lawyer and litigator. He has successfully brought claims against Australia’s largest banks, stockbrokers and financial institutions. He has also acted for people and organisations subject to investigations by government agencies and has advised industry superannuation funds, unions and corporations on regulatory, governance and directorship issues. James provides advice on contractual matters, corporate disputes, professional negligence and defamation claims. He also acts in complex matters – such as class actions and group litigation, including the Robodebt class action.

Victoria is an accredited specialist in personal injury law with a particular interest in asbestos litigation. Victoria has over 10 years’ experience in representing those suffering from all forms of asbestos diseases; including mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis and asbestos related pleural disease. Victoria is also passionate about achieving compensation for those afflicted by other occupational diseases, such as silicosis and occupational lung cancer. Victoria has represented clients in a number of jurisdictions around Australia and has been recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a leading lawyer in the area of Dust Diseases.

Brad is an experienced and highly regarded industrial and employment lawyer. Brad has acted for a broad range of unions, union officials and union members in Federal and State courts and industrial tribunals. He has significant experience in complex and high profile cases. Brad is passionate about advancing the interests of unions and union members. He prides himself on his strategic and practical advice to his clients.

Marcus is our Head of Industrial Law. He is one of Australia’s best-known union industrial lawyers. He has represented a wide range of unions, union officials and union members in industrial litigation, penalty proceedings, two anti-union Royal Commissions, general protections matters, rules disputes, administrative law challenges, coronial inquests, contempt of court cases and criminal prosecutions. In his over 40 years as a lawyer, Marcus has won a well-deserved reputation for his strategic, practical and industrially and politically astute advice. Marcus is Chair of the Migrant Workers Centre Inc which assists migrant workers and their communities to enforce and improve their rights.

Nick is an Accredited Specialist in Workplace Relations. He has broad experience in industrial and employment law, and has represented clients in most of the State and Commonwealth courts, including the appellate jurisdictions. He regularly represents unions and employees in the Federal Court of Australia and the Fair Work Commission.

Tess Dickie is an experienced personal injury lawyer with a background in Asbestos and Dust Diseases and WorkCover litigation. She is passionate about fighting for the right compensation for sufferers of asbestos and dust diseases including mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis, asbestos related pleural disease and silicosis. Tess also has a particular interest in the emerging area of WorkCover compensation claims for sufferers of non-asbestos occupational diseases and cancers, having secured compensation for workers with silicosis, lung cancer, asthma, byssinosis and leukaemia. Tess’s combined experience in WorkCover and lung disease compensation makes her the optimal choice of lawyer for silicosis claims under the Victorian WorkCover scheme. Tess joined Gordon Legal in 2019, having worked in plaintiff personal injury law for almost 10 years. Tess has been recognised in the prestigious Doyle’s Guide as a “Leading Lawyer – Asbestos & Dust Diseases Compensation Lawyers (Plaintiff) Victoria 2021”. Tess is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, Australian Lawyers Association, the Mornington Peninsula Lawyers Association and Asbestos Council of Victoria/GARDS.

Seb is an experienced lawyer who practises in class actions and other complex matters. He has worked on behalf of a superannuation fund in the Banking Royal Commission, and in a number of class actions, including the Robodebt class action. He also has broad experience in industrial and employment matters. He has acted for a number of unions and employees in various disputes in most of the State and Commonwealth courts and tribunals, including in urgent industrial disputes, breaches of the general protection provisions, discrimination claims, breaches of contract, underpayments, regulatory matters, and unfair dismissals.

Tim Pallas has spent over 40 years working in the Labor movement in various positions including Assistant National Secretary of the National Union of Workers and the ACTU. He was also chief of staff to Labor Premier Steve Bracks and over the last 20 years has held various Ministerial positions culminating in his service as the longest serving Treasurer (stand alone) in Victoria’s history.

Tim is a lawyer who has particular skills in industrial relations, dispute resolution and commercial financing.

Amber has been practising exclusively in personal injury law since 2008. She is a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law.Throughout her career, Amber has gained extensive litigation experience, acting for workers in the Magistrates’, County and Supreme Courts of Victoria. She has seen first-hand the financial and emotional strain placed on injured workers and their families and the devastating impact that this can have on the workers’ physical and mental health. She is inspired by the strength and tenacity of her clients and is passionate about advocating for the rights of workers.

Kelly is an accredited specialist in family law. She has a broad range of experience helping clients in all facets of family law, including: divorce, parenting matters, including relocation cases, child support, property settlements, financial agreements and LGBTIQA family law matters. Kelly’s focus is on providing sensible and clear advice to help clients reach negotiated settlements as cost effectively and quickly as possible. If court proceedings become necessary, Kelly has many years of experience to provide expert representation and guide clients through the court process.

Denis specialises in employment and industrial law. He also advises health practitioners under investigation by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. He is committed to providing the best representation for health professionals and healthcare workers when their livelihoods are under threat.  A former nurse, Denis has experience in legal and healthcare settings in Melbourne and regional Victoria, including as an organiser and industrial officer with the Australian Nursing Federation.

Katrina commenced her legal career in 2013, practising as a solicitor-advocate at a major criminal defence firm for several years. During this period, Katrina appeared in court regularly and instructed barristers in criminal trials. She then worked as a Judge’s Associate to a criminal law judge at the County Court of Victoria. Prior to joining Gordon Legal, Katrina was a barrister at the Victorian Bar where she practised solely in criminal law for six years. During this time, she appeared regularly in the Magistrates’ and County Courts in both summary and indictable criminal proceedings for accused persons and on behalf of the Director of Public Prosecutions, as well as for applicants and respondents in intervention order proceedings. Katrina joins Gordon Legal as a highly regarded and experienced criminal law advocate. Katrina holds a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University.

Skye is an Accredited Specialist in personal injury law. She is an experienced and compassionate advocate who is focussed on empowering her clients to achieve the best possible outcomes in their personal injury claims. She appreciates that her clients are often at a very challenging and vulnerable point in their lives and is passionate about listening and understanding their needs. She is dedicated to simplifying the complexities of the legal system to ensure her clients understand their rights and maximise their entitlements. She also has a background in healthcare, having formally worked as a registered nurse in several major hospitals and community healthcare settings, and has a unique insight, having acted for workers, employers, and insurers throughout her career. Skye sits on the Law Institute of Victoria Workers Compensation and Court Practice committees.

Stephanie is a Principal lawyer in the Motor Vehicle Accidents team. She has had over 10 years’ experience acting for injured people involved in motor vehicle accidents in Victoria. She is passionate about guiding her clients thought their TAC claim and the legal system so they can access their entitlements under the No-Fault scheme or lump sum compensation. She is committed to achieving the best outcome for her clients and to help make a difference to their lives when they are most vulnerable.

Kylie has over 15 years’ litigation experience, with particular expertise in class actions, negligence, personal injury, and consumer law. She is passionate about public interest advocacy and systemic reform, having led high-profile women’s health matters including the Essure Class Action and the Pelvic Mesh Settlement Administration, and initiating innovative investigations into emerging areas of systemic harm. She also has extensive experience representing individuals injured in road and workplace accidents, and has worked in the community legal sector, advocating for vulnerable clients in consumer and credit law disputes and leading nationwide campaigns for fairer outcomes for consumers.  Kylie is recognised for her collaborative leadership and commitment to using the law to drive accountability and lasting social change.

Loredana Trimboli is a highly experienced personal injury lawyer, leading our Superannuation and Life Insurance Practice at Gordon Legal. Perin is an Associate in the Workers Compensation team. She has diverse experience representing injured workers and their dependents across Victoria. Specifically, she has assisted clients access compensation by successfully disputing claim rejections and terminations, preparing no-fault benefit claims and pursuing common law damages via the WorkCover and Transport Accident Commission schemes. Perin likes to advocate for the rights of workers and seeks to deliver great outcomes to her clients.

Madison joined Gordon Legal as a paralegal in 2019 and was admitted as a lawyer in 2021. In mid-2023, Madison took a leave of absence to undertake the role of Associate to the Honorable Justice Button at the Federal Court of Australia. She returned to Gordon Legal in September 2024 and is currently a Senior Associate in the Class Actions practice. Madison completed a Juris Doctor at Monash University in 2020 and a Bachelor of Science (with majors in Microbiology and Immunology) at the University of Melbourne in 2017.

Guy joined Gordon Legal as a paralegal working in the Class Actions and Commercial team and was promoted to Graduate Lawyer and then Lawyer. Guy took a leave of absence from Gordon Legal to undertake the role of Associate to the honourable Justice Attiwill of the Supreme Court of Victoria. He returned to Gordon Legal in November 2023 and is currently a Senior Associate in the Class Actions practice. Guy has been involved in several class actions conducted by Gordon Legal involving diverse subject matter, including the ‘Robodebt Class Action’, underpayment claims, and proceedings against insurers in relation to non-payment of business interruption insurance. Guy is passionate about pursuing complex and large-scale claims through the vehicle of class action litigation.

Aimee’s expertise is in commercial and representative litigation. She has worked on a range of commercial matters in both New Zealand and Australia, including contractual disputes, shareholders’ disputes, and consumer law matters. Aimee also has class action experience on both sides of the Tasman, and has acted for a variety of plaintiffs and public interest groups against Ministers, government departments, and large corporations.

Sarah is a personal injury lawyer with experience across various areas of personal injury law such as Motor Vehicle Accidents, Workers’ Compensation and Public Liability. Her practice is now predominantly focused on Motor Vehicle Accidents where she helps her clients navigate their TAC claim and pursue lump sum compensation.

Ana works as an Associate in the Class Actions and Commercial Law team. She has assisted across a range of class actions at Gordon Legal, including the Robodebt class action, Business Interruption Insurance class action and the Box Hill Institute class action in conjunction with several ongoing class action investigations. Ana joined Gordon Legal as a paralegal in 2020 before commencing as a lawyer in the Class Actions and Commercial Law team in September 2020. Before joining the firm, Ana volunteered at several community organisations, including Darebin Community Legal Centre and worked as a paralegal at a preeminent migration law firm. Ana is passionate about achieving positive outcomes for all her client’s cases- large or small. Ana completed a Juris Doctor at Monash University in 2019 and a Bachelor of Arts (Politics and International Studies) at the University of Melbourne in 2015.

Liam is a respected litigator who practices in class actions and commercial law. He specialises in complex claims, including tort, contract and property matters. He regularly appears at all levels of the Victorian and Federal Courts. Liam is an experienced advocate in defamation litigation. He is a published writer on defamation issues and has a sizable defamation practice, acting for both plaintiffs and defendants. Liam provides advice to national charities and multinational businesses. He has also acted for plaintiffs in litigation against major insurers, Federal and State government departments, and financial institutions.

Aylin is a dedicated lawyer specialising in Medical Negligence and Public Liability. With a comprehensive background in WorkCover, Transport Accidents, Institutional Abuse, and other areas of personal injury law, Aylin offers clients clear, straightforward, and strategic legal advice. I graduated with a Juris Doctor from Monash University in 2023. I also hold a Bachelor of Applied Science /Master of Clinical Prosthetics and Orthotics from La Trobe University. This unique background in healthcare gives me an edge in understanding the complex medical and technical aspects of personal injury cases. I have been working at Gordon Legal since 2021, starting as a paralegal and progressing to the position of Lawyer. I am passionate about helping people who have suffered from accidents, injuries, or negligence and I strive to deliver the best outcomes for them.

Nick is a lawyer in the Class Actions and Industrial Teams at Gordon Legal. Nick completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne in 2021 and was admitted as a practitioner in March 2023. Nick also worked as the associate to the Honourable Justice Dowling of the Federal Court of Australia in 2024 and the start of 2025. Nick returned to Gordon Legal in October 2025. Throughout his time at Gordon Legal, he has worked on a number of class actions, including the Robodebt Class Action, Doctors in Training Class Action, and a number of class action investigations. Nick has also worked on a number of regulatory investigations including assisting in preparing witnesses for the Robodebt Royal Commission.

Renzo joined Gordon Legal as a paralegal while completing his Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne. Since then, he has been deeply involved in large-scale litigation, with a particular focus on class actions. Renzo has played a key role in securing and distributing settlements that have delivered meaningful outcomes for everyday Australians.

In 2024, Renzo took a leave of absence to serve as Associate to the Honourable Justice Watson at the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Since returning to Gordon Legal, Renzo has continued to bring a personal and empathetic approach to his practice. He combines strong interpersonal skills with analytical precision to advocate for group members and help navigate complex legal challenges with clarity and care.

Angelica is a lawyer working in the Industrial & Employment Law Team, having previously worked in the Class Actions Team as a graduate lawyer. Angelica completed her Juris Doctor at RMIT University in November 2022 and was admitted to practice law in August 2023. While completing her Juris Doctor at RMIT, she joined Gordon Legal as a paralegal, where she gained valuable experience in commercial law, litigation and class actions, including the Robodebt Class Action, Box Hill Institute Student Pilot Class Action and the Doctors in Training Class Actions. Prior to completing her law degree, Angelica attained a Bachelor of Arts (with majors in Politics and History) through the University of Melbourne. Angelica practices in civil litigation, including class actions, personal injury, and industrial and employment matters. She has acted for a number of unions, employees and victims of abuse in various disputes, including urgent industrial disputes, discrimination and sexual harassment claims, institutional abuse, public liability and enterprise bargaining.

Imogen is a lawyer working in the Class Actions and Commercial Team. Whilst completing her Juris Doctor at RMIT, she joined Gordon Legal as a paralegal where she gained valuable experience in class actions including the Robodebt, Box Hill Institute Student Pilot, and Doctors in Training Class Actions. Prior to studying law, Imogen completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Master of Public Policy and Management at The University of Melbourne.

Lauren is an Associate in the Employment and Industrial Team. Before commencing with Gordon Legal, Lauren worked for a specialist employment law community legal centre. There, she provided pro bono advice and representation to Victorian workers in relation to employment, industrial and discrimination matters. Lauren has a particular interest in human rights practice and has represented numerous applicants in civil sexual harassment claims. She enjoys working closely with her clients to help them exercise their legal rights. Lauren volunteers with Barwon Community Legal Centre in their night service. She completed her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne.

Laura is a Lawyer working in the Workers Compensation team. She has extensive experience in this area from her many years working as a Legal Assistant and Paralegal in Workers Compensation. Whilst completing her Bachelor of Laws, Laura joined Gordon Legal. Prior to studying law, Laura attained a Bachelor of Criminology and Justice at Navitas College of Public Safety.

Her passion for social justice and the law inspired her desire to become a lawyer where she intends to continue to help those who have been injured at work.

Masa is a Personal Injury Lawyer specialising in Worker’s Injury Compensation, with a background in WorkCover, Transport Accidents and Public Liability. Having completed her Bachelor of Laws with Distinction, Masa has worked in social justice settings for several years, with a passion for fair outcomes and access to justice. She is passionate about advocating for Victorians who have been injured due to negligence, assisting clients in navigating the complexities of the legal system, ensuring they understand their entitlements at every step. Masa’s main priority is ensuring her clients feel supported, minimise their stress and progress claims in an effective manner without delay.

Sebastian is a lawyer working in the Class Actions and Commercial Team. He joined the Gordon Legal team in 2022 while completing his Juris Doctor at Monash University. Sebastian quickly developed a passion for plaintiff law and has gained invaluable experience working on the Robodebt and Doctors in Training class actions. Prior to studying law, he completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne with a major in criminology and a minor in ancient world history.

Chantal Mercer is a solicitor in Gordon Legal’s Family Law team. She is dedicated to helping individuals navigate separation, parenting disputes, and property settlements with compassionate, clear, and practical advice.

Chantal takes a thoughtful and rational approach to resolving family law issues, always aiming to reduce conflict and promote cost effective outcomes for her clients and their families.

Chantal can assist with a wide range of matters, including parenting arrangements, binding financial agreements, consent orders, divorce, spousal maintenance claims, binding child support agreements and many other things.

Chantal’s background spans both family law and commercial litigation, giving her a well-rounded perspective and strong problem-solving skills.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Deakin University and was admitted to practice in 2023.

Shannyn is a lawyer working in the Employment and Industrial Team. Shannyn completed her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at La Trobe University in 2023 and was admitted to practice law in October 2024. Whilst completing her Bachelor of Laws, she volunteered at a specialist employment law community legal centre, gaining valuable experience supporting employees facing challenging situations at work. Shannyn is passionate about helping individuals navigate complex workplace issues and is committed to achieving fair and meaningful outcomes for her clients.

Lily joined Gordon Legal as a paralegal while completing her Juris Doctor at Monash University. During this time, she gained valuable experience working within the Class Actions team on the Robodebt Class Action and the Box Hill Student Pilot Class Action. She later transitioned to the Civil Liability team, focusing on workers’ claims for compensation arising from occupational exposure. In November 2024, Lily commenced her role as a Law Graduate within the Civil Liability team.

Annabel Valena is a lawyer in the commercial and class actions teams. In 2024 she completed a double degree of Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Relations at the Australian National University. As part of her law degree, she completed a specialisation in International and Comparative Law. She joined Gordon Legal in 2024 as a paralegal working in institutional abuse and major cases.

Max is a lawyer working in the Class Actions, Commercial, and Institutional Abuse Team. Since he started working at Gordon Legal as a Paralegal in 2022, he developed a passion for public interest litigation whilst working on seminal cases such as the Robodebt and Doctors in Training class actions. Max completed a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours), majoring in Economics and Philosophy at the University of Melbourne before commencing his Juris Doctor at Monash University.

Shenal is a lawyer in the Commercial and Class Actions teams. Since joining the firm he has supported major class actions, including the Doctors in Training, ESSSuper and Robodebt appeal. Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, he spent over five years delivering key government programs overseas and more than four years leading international business initiatives in the commercial sector.

Shenal holds a Master of Laws (Commercial & Corporate) from Monash University, a Master of Business and Innovation (Data Analytics), a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London and a Bachelor of Arts in International Business. He combines legal, analytical, and commercial experience to support individuals and groups in achieving fair and practical outcomes in complex litigation and class actions.

Jacques is a lawyer working in the personal injury team at Gordon Legal. He joined the firm in 2025 working on the Victorian Junior Doctors Class Action and the Robodebt Class Action. Jacques holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Australian Catholic University. He is particularly interested in helping injured individuals navigate the legal system and secure fair compensation.

Chiara is a law graduate working in the Civil Liability team. Chiara’s role focuses on obtaining compensation for people diagnosed with terminal conditions associated with exposure to asbestos and silica dusts. She developed and nurtured her interest in the law through her studies, as well as her work with Gordon Legal as a paralegal since 2022. Chiara is excited to further explore the ways in which the law can be used to help everyday people.

Chiara holds a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts (major in Criminology) from the University of Melbourne.

Tom is a law graduate working in the Industrial & Employment Law and Workers Compensation Teams. He joined Gordon Legal in 2025 as a paralegal in the Class Actions Team, developing valuable insight working on the Doctors in Training class actions. Tom is committed to championing the rights of Victorian workers, shaped by his prior experience in union advocacy.

Tom completed a Bachelor of Law (with Honours) and Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics from La Trobe University.

Tristan is a law graduate in the Class Actions and Commercial team at Gordon Legal. He completed his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at La Trobe University in November 2025. Tristan has been working as a paralegal in this team since September 2021, starting his work on the first Robodebt class action. Since then, he has contributed to several class actions and investigations, including wage underpayment class actions, regulatory investigations, and individual claims. Tristan is interested in addressing large scale injustice through the vehicle of class action litigation.

Maigan Hounslow is a law graduate in the Class Actions team. In 2025 she completed a double degree of Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Gender, Sexuality and Diversity Studies) from La Trobe University. She joined Gordon Legal in 2024 as a paralegal in class actions and is passionate about supporting equality and access to justice.

Joseph is a law graduate working in the Industrial and Employment Law team at Gordon Legal. He joined the firm in 2024 working on the Robodebt Appeal and ACT Junior Doctors Class Action.

Joseph holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics from Monash University.

Joseph is passionate about advocating for workers’ rights and is proud to support the ongoing union movement in Australia.

Ruby Kidd is a law graduate in the class actions team. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and completed her Juris Doctor at Monash University in 2025.

Ruby joined Gordon Legal in 2023 as a paralegal, gaining valuable experience across a range of practice areas. She began in the client intake team before moving into major cases and class actions.

Rebecca is a law clerk and support team leader in personal injury law. She has over 15 years of experience in Workers’ Compensation and significant experience in industrial deafness claims. She is passionate about guiding her clients through seeking compensation for loss of hearing caused by exposure to industrial noise in the workplace.

Carol is a highly experienced relationship manager. She has extensive experience in assisting members with a broad range of legal matters, including workers’ compensation, employment law, motor vehicle accidents, criminal and family law. She is the first port of call for members and is highly experienced in managing key relationships in the labour movement. Carol has been working closely with unions and their members for over a decade, and takes great pride in the collaborative relationships she creates with them.
