If something didn’t feel right about your treatment, you’re not alone.

You don’t need have all the details or know whether anything went wrong – we can help you work this through. Speaking with us can help you make sense of what happened.

By sharing your experience with us, we can better understand what has occurred and explain what legal options may be available to you.

This investigation follows reporting by the ABC Four Corners Program into these issues.

You may want to speak to us if:

  • You felt that something wasn’t right during or after your treatment.
  • You experienced complications post-treatment that were unexpected.
  • You are concerned that the treatment you received may have been unnecessary or inappropriate.
  • There are discrepancies between what you were told by Dr Gordon and what is recorded in your medical notes.
  • You believe you were not adequately or accurately informed about your condition, the proposed treatment, or the risks and alternatives. This may include situations where you were not given sufficient time, information, or support to properly understand the potential consequences of the treatment and make a fully informed decision.
  • You are concerned that you didn’t give informed consent to the procedure or treatment performed.
  • You felt confused, dismissed, or unsupported during or after your care.
  • Your symptoms have worsened since the treatment, or you have developed new symptoms, injuries, or changes to your health that you believe may be related to the treatment.

We understand it can be difficult to talk about experiences like this.

You don’t need to have all the answers – just sharing your experience can help us understand what’s happened.

Gordon Legal is progressing a potential class action concerning treatment provided to patients of Melbourne gynaecologist Dr Simon Gordon for endometriosis and pelvic pain.

Our investigation follows the allegations reported in the recent ABC Four Corners Program, which aired in February 2026. The allegations included that Dr Simon Gordon had performed clinically unnecessary or inappropriate surgeries on patients.

Dr Gordon surrendered his medical registration in February 2026 during an investigation by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). This regulatory investigation is ongoing, and no findings have been made at this stage.

No. Gordon Legal is currently investigating and assessing the possibility of a class action.

Registration via the form above means you will receive updates and stay informed about the investigation and any future legal action.

Continuing to hear from former patients remains one of the most important aspects of our investigation.

Every former patient who comes forward helps us better understand not only what happened to individual patients, but whether broader systemic failures allowed similar experiences to continue over many years.

Registrations from former patients help us build a clearer understanding of the issues and assess whether and how legal action may be pursued.

We recommend that you request access to your medical records as soon as you can, by directly contacting the hospital where you were treated.

Hospitals are required to retain your records for 7 years, but they may have held onto them for longer.

If you receive your records and something doesn’t look right, please note this in your registration form or raise it in when speaking to our team. Your general practitioner or a gynaecologist may be able to review them for you.

The Victorian Government has established a dedicated phone line for former patients of Dr Gordon through Women’s Health Victoria. There are five new endometriosis clinics that have been funded to provide service to patients affected by Dr Simon Gordon.
